our reason why

The Where2Next Foundation  was founded by international professional women's basketball player, Amberly Gray. Serving to provide charitable goods and services to uplift Cincinnati communities, Amber uses her influence as a professional athlete to  build lasting bonds, give back what she's been so blessed to have, and simply put a smile on faces.

MISSION

Where2Next strives to inspire, motivate, and encourage individuals to focus on the next phase of their life because where they're going is more significant than where they've been.

VISION

Our goal is to provide young women and men with the tools to become the best version of themselves while accomplishing their dreams. We will do this through our basketball training, mentoring program, community events and partnering with other organizations that have similar missions.

MENTORING

WHERE2NEXT is partnering with Hamilton County Job and Family Services and Lakota Schools to establish a peer mentoring program. We will be utilizing the life experiences of Lakota West High School Students with training and prevention knowledge of Envision Partnerships to support Lakota Plains students as they learn to navigate the complex world in which we live.

MOTIVATIONAL
SPEAKING

Amber's testimony is unlike any other. She's spoken to scores of children and adults about overcoming a near-death experience, to becoming a professional basketball player with a greater mission. She's spoken to crowds about not giving up on their goals, no matter the hardship, and staying future-focused, by asking where to next?!

The Frances Dancy Hooks Scholarship Fund

Frances Dancy Hooks was the great-grandmother of Amber Gray. She left behind a legacy of activism, and was devoted to helping women and young people to meet their full potential. We asked university-bound high school graduates in the foster system, and seniors who attend the Boys and Girls Club of West Chester to come up with a creative way to tell the story of their childhood. The only criteria was to be very candid, because their story could help another young person. For sharing their anecdotes, and potentially inspiring others not to give up their dreams, winners will receive $1,500 in scholarship funding.
